We’ve decided to try something new!

Writing is a process and we want our contest to reflect this fact.

This year our contest is going to be an ongoing process allowing those who cannot attend our monthly meetings be a part of our monthly meetings. There will be a one time fee of $10.00. Every entry will get a critique. Each month, the finalists will be chosen from the entries submitted that month. Entrants still have two months to enter. Each month you’ll receive a critique of your entry. Finalists will receive their critique and have a chance to edit and resubmit their submission before final judging.

  • Entries must follow contest guidelines.
  • Entries must be original and unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable.
  • No repeat entries
  • Entries can be a short story, chapter of a book, poetry, article or a devotional. The word count must be 1000 words or less.  No blog entries please!
  • Entries should contain a Christian theme
  • Entries must be submitted before or by the last Monday of the month.
  • Entry deadlines- February 24, March 31.
  • Entry date for edited finalist submissions April 11, 2014
  • Failure to comply with guidelines will result in disqualification with no refund of fees.
  • Prize amounts will depend upon number of entries.
  • Prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and a certificate for Honourable Mention.
  • Awards will be presented, or not, at the discretion of the judges.
